The conference focusses on 3 main topics, being organised in 3 parallel sessions:
- SSbD Session: INDUSTRIAL CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS TO IMPLEMENT THE SAFE & SUSTAINABLE BY DESIGN (SSBD) FRAMEWORK
- Toxicological and ecotoxicological assessment of Microplastics and PFAS : RISK ASSESSMENT, MONITORING AND CONTROL OF EMERGING CONTAMINANTS AND SUBSTANCES OF CONCERN: PFAS, MICRO AND NANOPLASTICS
- New monitoring technologies in food safety: RISK ASSESSMENT, MONITORING AND CONTROL OF EMERGING CONTAMINANTS AND SUBSTANCES OF CONCERN: PFAS, MICRO AND NANOPLASTICS
The abstract submission process is now open, with a first deadline next June 15th . The conference will be key opportunity to present research and results from EU projects in SSbD, learn more and discuss key issues to implement the SSbD framework. The main topics will include:
- Tools and methodological approaches for human and environmental hazard assessment under the SSbD Framework
- Industrial oriented exposure and release assessments models and tools to implement the SSbD framework
- Tools and methodological approaches to assist the lifecycle assessment and sustainability
- Policy vision and initiatives to support the SSbD framework implementation at industrial level
- Industrially oriented research projects to assist the implementation of the SSbD framework
- Industrial view and SSbD implementation success stories
The Conference also includes a specific session on microplastics and PFAS, including relevant topics to support risk assessment, including:
- Analytical techniques for the determination of PFAS and micro(nano)plastics
- EU policies, regulatory requirements and trends
- Human exposure to PFAS and micro(nano)plastics
- Treatment and removal technologies
- New analytical techniques and sensor-based approaches
- Human Health and Environmental Risks Assessment methodologies
The Conference program will be updated in view of the abstract summited by the attendees. A poster area will be also included. For additional information, please contact info@sentiatech.com.
